My name is Evangelist Nadine Stokes.  I would like to say, with open arms

You are valued by the Lord; he has a purpose for you. Your decision to  join this church was not a coincidence. Your footsteps have been ordered by the Lord, he is  directing your path.

I became a member of True Holiness Church of God Silverton (its name was changed to True Holiness Covenant of Peace Assembly of Silverton), under the leadership  of Bishop Eddita D. Tolber. It was 37 years ago.  I remember so vividly as if it happened yesterday. I will say this was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. 

My life has been wondrously blessed. 

I was on a journey, and I was not sure what I would encounter. I did not know what was up the road for me. One thing I will always remember and embrace, was the love of God.  I felt each time I entered the sanctuary. And the saints of God, that expressed that love, whenever they greeted me. 

My Husband and I have Worked in Several Congregations in True Holiness.

While working diligently in the Silverton church, the Lord told me to go and work for a season in the Woodlawn church.  While I was there working, I was ordained Evangelist.  When the season for me to return to Silverton had come, I returned and continued to work in the church.  In 2000, I transferred my membership to the Loveland church, under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Pamela A. Smith. 

In 2002, the Lord opened a door for my husband and I to live in Wilmington, Delaware, to assist in the work that had begun there.  The Lord God opened wide many doors for ministry in other states on the East Coast, in New Jersey and Maryland.  I had the opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people from all walks of life.  In 2011, I returned to Walnut Hills. 

Within the Walnut Hills church, I am the President of the Missionary Circle.  The purpose of our Missionary Circle is to serve on a spiritual and humanitarian basis to assist the stricken and the helpless, to comfort the downtrodden, to impart knowledge of temporal things as well as knowledge of the Word of God.  Please meet with us in one of our meetings to learn more about what we do.  We make a difference in the church and our communities.  I also teach the Adult Sunday School and I am a Choir Member.

I am also the Academic Director of the Leadership Development Institute, the official training center for the True Holiness Assemblies of Truth United International congregations and affiliates.  I urge you to enroll in the many courses that are offered there…it is very inexpensive.  The Institute’s combined faculty are experienced professionals and clergy, who hold  degrees in academics and biblical scholarship as well.

I received my B.A. degree in History from the University of Delaware, this year.  My future goal is to become a History Professor.

My husband is Elder Norman Stokes.  We have 1 adult daughter and son-in-law, and 4 grandchildren.
