Who We Are
True Holiness Covenant of Peace Assembly of Walnut Hills was organized on February 15, 1988, in Loveland Ohio, which is twenty miles northeast of Cincinnati, Ohio, in the United States of America. It began as an outreach ministry in the form of a weekly Bible teaching session, in October 1987 through February 1988. We are a branch out of our mother church in Silverton, Ohio, whose documented history reaches as far back as 1966.
Our membership has a Spirit-filled style of worship as the apostles worshipped in the book of Acts. We practice the doctrine of the New Testament Apostles who were trained and authorized by the Lord Jesus Christ to expand the kingdom of God (Luke 9:1-27) and we practice a scriptural lifestyle of holiness. Therefore, we are dedicated disciples and ambassadors of the doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Word that was made flesh, who is prophesied about in the Old Testament and has revealed himself in these last days, through his Spirit (Hebrews 1:1). His Spirit has endowed the members of True Holiness with power from on high (Luke 24:40; John 16:7-13).
True Holiness Walnut Hills is affiliated with our shepherd organization, True Holiness Assemblies of Truth United International and our facility houses its national offices and its Leadership Development Institute. Also, our senior pastor is the founder of the Walnut Hills congregation and the Presiding Overseer of our shepherd organization of eight congregations and 38 missions and ministries.
OUR MISSION
Our national Book of Order states that each member carries a vital responsibility in the mission of their respective local congregation. The local congregation is where God’s people worship’s and reaches out to the community through the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through evangelism, nurturing, counseling, personal and social healing, and community service. Each congregation also serves as the essential mission arms of the national ecclesiastic order and of the administration of True Holiness Assemblies of Truth United International
A Summary for Which This Congregation is Formed:
- To provide a place of worship and religious education for its members
- To preach the Gospel
- To engage in Outreach Ministries
- To receive, hold and disburse gifts, receive bequests and funds arising from other sources
How will the World be Different Because of Our Mission?
The desired outcome is to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18; and Luke 24:45-47. As we create an environment that gives the water of the word of God to those who thirst, our vision is to see a morally and spiritually strong community, in the Walnut Hills, Evanston, and Avondale neighborhoods of Cincinnati, Ohio, as men and women come to know God through his saving grace, and receive comfort for their distress. Prayerfully, this ministry will expand throughout all other connecting communities as well.
