Welcome New Member!

Greetings from your Senior Pastor,

Bishop Dr. Pamela A. Smith

Your membership is very important to this congregation and me.  Therefore, we are all excited that you made the decision to join the ministry of True Holiness Covenant of Peace Assembly of Walnut Hills.  Because you are already a member in the Body of Christ, you are automatically granted the same rights, advantages, privileges and spiritual covering through this local congregation.

Having you and your family as a part of this congregation is a blessing both for you and for us.

In order to strengthen your commitment to this ministry and before you become actively involved in any auxiliary of this church,  it is needful for you to complete all twelve New Member Orientation sessions on this website, simply because you need to know what is expected of you as a member and what you can expect from the pastor and congregation.

We are delighted that you have joined our ministry and fellowship!

This orientation is designed to enable you to become well-informed, so that you will become a satisfied and committed member of this community. While viewing these New Member Orientation web pages, you will learn of the mission and vision for the church’s outreach ministries and for its  fellowship as well.

We know that new church members expect to unite with a friendly and hospitable congregation.

But unfortunately for some people, after joining the church of their choice, they only stay for a few weeks or a few months…then they leave.  I believe that the primary reason for their disappointment in that church is the lack of clear communication between the pastor, the current membership, and the new member about what each one expects.

In order to prevent this disappointment, the first thing to do when welcoming a new member is to teach him or her as much as possible about the church family, so they won’t feel lost and unwelcome in this new environment.  Yet, like all other relationships, if given enough time, a good pastor/member relationship will develop, as long as there is continuous communication between everyone.

Let us prevent this from happening to you!

That is why this New Member Orientation was designed to prevent a communication gap from forming between the pastor, current membership, and new member.  It teaches about the church and its leadership and answers some of your questions that we think you might have.  In summary, these New Membership web pages are also designed to help you gain a basic understanding of  the True Holiness Walnut Hills leadership structure, biblical doctrines, traditions, and customs.  I think that this is a great way to start getting to know each other.  Don’t you?

So Feel free to become an active part of this ministry!

But don’t forget that upon completion of this New Member Orientation, you are invited to join one or more of the church’s auxiliaries.  I hope you are anxious to serve God through many of the wonderful opportunities at True Holiness Walnut Hills.  And remember…working in the auxiliaries is also a great way to get to know the other members of the church.

We’re glad you are with us and we want you to know that we care about your growth in Christ Jesus.

So if there is anyway that we can respond to your needs, don’t hesitate to call the office at (513) 281-3610, or request to speak with the pastor, or one of the elders. It is our prayer that God continues to richly bless you.

Because of Christ,

Bishop Dr. Pamela A Smith, DD., MA.                                                                                      Senior Pastor
